Claire House Children’s Hospice is an amazing place and as the parents of Elliot Wild, we do not know how we would have coped without their expert help and support. We were just an ordinary family who never believed that we would need the services of a Children’s Hospice.

Elliot passed away in 2011, it was then that we decided as a family to support the hospice whenever possible and the idea of the Claire House cup was born.

2017 Update

2017 sees the Claire House Cup in its sixth year, when we started as a small team six years ago, never did we expect our tournament to become so widely popular and one of the most popular football tournaments in the North West.

Last year, we saw a record 168 teams come and play some fantastic football, with over 3000 people attending over the two days, all enjoying a professionally run tournament, fabulous attractions and resulting in raising a staggering £28,515.72 over the footballing weekend.

The 2017 tournament will have 140 teams attending, and we hope to raise a similar amount. In total, the Claire House Cup has raised £92,000 to date and a staggering grand total, raised in Elliot’s name since 2011, of £240,000 all in memory of our football crazy little boy, Elliot Wild.

We would like to pass on our heartfelt thanks to all involved, in particular the team at JM RET for their ongoing support; to Everton FC Academy and to our wonderful sponsors, Bagnall and Morris, who have sponsored the event and Neston Building Supplies who are the trophy sponsors.

We look forward to seeing you at the Claire House Cup 2017 and want to thank you for your fantastic support and it means so much to not only to us, but more importantly to the families and the amazing children that use Claire House Children’s Hospice…

Thank you.

Jackie, Ian and Finley Wild.
