The 2018 tournament will take place across the weekend of the 234rd and 24th June 2018. Saturday will see the under 6s, under 8s, under 10s and under 12s compete. Sunday will see the under 7s, under 9s, under 11s and under 13s compete.
The venue for this year’s tournament will be Ocean Fields, Wirral Rugby Club, Thornton Common Road, Ocean Fields, Wirral, CH63 0LT. Please see the Google map above for directions.
Age Categories & Format
Playing 7 a side – Under 6s, under 7s, under 8s, under 9s and under 10s.
Playing 5 a side – Under 11s, under 12s and under 13s.
Please note – Age group is as of season 2017 – 2018.

All interested teams MUST complete the registration form via this site and will be notified by email if you have been successful by Friday 19th January .Due to previous demand for places once your place is confirmed the fee payment of £50 should be sent immediately to secure your place. If payment is not received by 31st January then your place will be released to another team.
Last year we had a waiting list of teams so don’t delay and lose your place. Register now to avoid disappointment.
On the day registration will be from 9.00-9.30am with the first matches kicking off at 10.00am
Entry Registration Fees
Entry to the tournament is a £50 fee per team. This must be paid upfront and in full by 31st January, 2018 to secure your place. Payment can be made in cash or by cheque made out to ‘Claire House Children Hospice’.
Alternatively your team/club can opt to become a fundraiser. We will waive the registration fee and provide you with a sponsorship form so that your team/club can collect sponsorships (minimum of £150 must be raised). See fundraising page for more details.

Squads can register up to 10 players. 5 or 7 players can be fielded for the start of each match depending on your age category. Under 6’s, 7’s, 8’s, 9’s and 10’s – playing 7 a side. Under 11’s,12’s, and 13’s – playing 5 a side. Rolling substitutions can be made at the absolute discretion of the referee.
All players must wear shin pads. Studded or bladed boots are strongly advised as the playing surface is grass.
All games will have experienced referees. This is a family event, raising money for Claire House Childrens Hospice and we trust all players will play in the spirit of the beautiful game. There is a zero-tolerance rule for foul language, abusive or violent behaviour.
There are no changing facilities available, so all players should come ready to play.
Please note that there are strictly NO DOGS allowed.
