Tournament 2019

Tournament Dates

The 2019 tournament will take place across the weekend of the 15th and 16th June 2019. Saturday will see the under 6s, under 8s, under 10s and under 12s compete. Sunday will see the under 7s, under 9s, under 11s and under 13s compete.

Tournament Location

The venue for this year’s tournament will be Ocean Fields, Wirral Rugby Club, Thornton Common Road, Ocean Fields, Wirral, CH63 0LT. Please see the Google map above for directions.

Registration

Please do not ring the office of JM RET as no calls can be taken in respect of registering for the tournament. Any enquires must be sent to Jackie Wild at clairehousecup@gmail.com

Registration will be through Reddish Vulcan site only this year and full payment of £60 will be required at registration via PayPal. We will announce through our Facebook and twitter pages for registration opening date for you to register. This is strictly a first come first serve basis.

Last year we had a waiting list of teams so don’t delay and lose your place. Register now to avoid disappointment.

On the day registration will be from 9.00-9.30am with the first matches kicking off at 10.00am

Entry Registration Fees

This year all teams entering the Claire House Cup will be sent sponsorship forms inviting teams to Fundraise for the wonderful Claire House children’s hospice who needs vital funds to maintain their services. This will enable teams to fundraise helping children with life limiting illnesses, and the chance to win a voucher for a club kit for the 2019/2020 season.

Age Categories & Format

Playing 7 a side – Under 6s, under 7s, under 8s, under 9s, under 10s and under 11s.

Playing 5 a side – Under 12s and under 13s.

Please note – Age group is as of season 2018 – 2019.

Squad Details

Squads can register up to 10 players. Under 6’s, 7’s, 8’s, 9’s, 10’s and 11’s – playing 7 a side with a squad of 10. Under 12’s, and 13’s – playing 5 a side with a squad of 8. Rolling substitutions can be made at the absolute discretion of the referee.

Equipment

All players must wear shin pads. Studded or bladed boots are strongly advised as the playing surface is grass.

Referees

All games will have experienced referees. This is a family event, raising money for Claire House Childrens Hospice and we trust all players will play in the spirit of the beautiful game. There is a zero-tolerance rule for foul language, abusive or violent behaviour.

Facilities

There are no changing facilities available, so all players should come ready to play.

NO Dogs

Please note that there are strictly NO DOGS allowed.
